All members of the Excel Community share a common bond through our school motto, “Respect, Responsibility, Citizenship & Grit.” Excel embraces the “Goals And Vision” statement as outlined in the Common Core State Standards: Student and Alumni achievements are acknowledged, celebrated and valued over time. Our students are made aware that appropriate, respectful and dignified behavior reflects their individualism as well as their role as a valued member of the Excel Community.
We further believe that through cooperative interaction of the administration, faculty, students, parents, and community, each student can achieve his/her academic goals, develop a love for learning, respect for self and others, and an enthusiasm for life that will help to ensure his/her success and happiness. Through clearly defined expectations, we believe an atmosphere can be created to enable successful academic, social and physical development.
Through dedication, hard work and effective planning, we are able to offer a flexible academic and extracurricular program that allows all students opportunities to experience success. The Administration and Faculty of Excel High School recognize the individuality of each student and the right of that student to receive a quality education which encourages the development of the student’s fullest potential.
